Stewardship

The goal of this topic is to give students an overview of a community working toward long-term change and to debrief the previous activities using the Shalom Matrix.

A Stewardship Story engages students in learning about one community’s efforts to bring science, education, faith, and action together to improve conditions in a watershed. It encourages students to see how a complex of factors can bring about change and shows how faith, hope, and love can inform work for long-term change.

Discuss with students the ways in which the Upstream Downstream activities can map onto the Shalom Matrix (again, the Shalom Matrix can be found on Slide 2 of the Chemistry and Shalom slides).
